Deactivated WWII Russian Mosin Nagant Carbine with folding bayonet (Model M44) and matching numbers. Manufactured by Izhevsk and dated 1944. Lovely example with great wood work. Durable, reliability and accurate, If captured by German forces they would often use these rifles instead of their own. This one has small armours repair to the wood work has a renumbered magazine base plate, this is a good indication that when it returned from active service it required reworking. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
