Product Information

This is a great condition WWII Russian Mosin Nagant M/91 that has been converted into a sniper rifle and fitted with PU scope and mounts. The rifle was manufactured by Izhevsk in 1943, and has matching numbers to receiver, bolt, magazine assembly and butt plate.  The scope has crystal clear optics. This model was made famous by the film "Enemy at the Gates", a film about the Russian sniper ace Vassili Zaitsev, played by Jude Law. Zaitsev is credited with 242 kills in Stalingrad using his type of Nagant rifle. Russia, unlike most other military nations, also used women to carry out sniper duties, and had over 2000 during WW2. They proved very effective and accurate snipers!!

This example comes fitted with a sling and cleaning rod. Bayonet, ammunition pouches containing 10 inert 7.62mm with unstruck primers and oil bottle. A great set.
