Product Information

WWII Sten MK5 manufactured by ROF - Royal Ordnance Factory Theale/Fazakerley. First introduced in early 1944, they were used by airborne troops at Arnham, and in many other deployments and engagements during WWII . The MK5 is essentially a better quality version of the MK2, using the same magazine port and body, magazine and similar bolt assembly. New additions were, wooden stock, pistol grip, No4 foresight and a wooden vertical foregrip. Plus a bayonet attachment. The foregrip was often removed as it was prone to breakages, and eventually discontinued for the same reason. This one has the sling hoop on the top of the stock, this would indicate use by Airbourne troops or Commando's. This example still has its matched stock which is very unusual to find. It also bears the initials FTR meaning Factory Through Repair a good indication of service use. Deactivated with moving cocking lever and trigger it can be partially stripped. The magazine housing can swiveled. Comes with WWII sling and bayonet & scabbard.
