Product Information

A WWII Sten MK5 manufactured by ROF - Royal Ordnance Factory Theale. ROF Theale only produced around 130,000 MK5's. This example has all visible matching numbers and has the sling hoop on the top of the stock, this would indicate use by Airbourne troops or Commando's. It has lots military broad arrow acceptance stamps. The MK5 was first introduced in early 1944, and is essentially a better quality version of the MK2, using the same magazine port and body, magazine and similar bolt assembly. New additions were, wooden stock, pistol grip, No4 foresight and a wooden vertical foregrip. Plus a bayonet attachment. The foregrip was often removed as it was prone to breakages, and eventually discontinued for the same reason. Deactivated to current specifications with moving trigger. The magazine housing rotates and the rear section of the original bolt can be pulled and back and will return under spring tension. Comes fitted with an original wartime sling, bayonet and inert 9mm rounds.
