Product Information

This is a superb WWII American made Browning 1919A4 .30 calibre light machine gun with bespoke display stand and transit chest. Saginaw Steering Gear Division only manufactured 30 cal's during WWII, with production ended in June 1945. The "thirty cal", as it was named by US troops, was their main light machine gun of world war and proved to be a very versatile weapon being mounted to tanks, jeeps, armoured vehicles and aircraft as well a ground mounted gun for infantry. They saw action in all US military engagements throughout WWII, and are still in use today. Accompanying this 30 cal is a one-off hand crafted height adjustable stand that rotates 360 degrees on a bearing fitted within the main tube. Also included is a beautifully crafted wooden transit chest made specifically for this gun.

This 30 Cal dates to 1942 as the year of manufacture and has been deactivated to current specifications with tensioned cocking lever and moving feed mechanism.
