Deactivated WWII Webley .38 MK4 Revolver

This is a WWII issued Webley MK4 .38 revolver. The serial number dates to 1944/45. This variant has the standard size frame and pistol grip but the smaller shorter barrel. This made it ideally suited for use by pilots, tank and armoured vehicle crews. It is broad arrow marked and it has matching numbers to the frame, barrel and cylinders. Note the armorer has struck out the previous numbers on the cylinders. This is a very good indication of service use. It has been deactivated to current specifications with moving trigger and hammer and is permitted to have clear chambers.
