This is a WWII British military issued Webley & Scott MKIV (4) .38 revolver. The serial number 63986 dates to 1942 and is an early example with "War Finish" stamped on the same side as the serial number and military acceptance stamps. Later examples were marked on the other side of the frame. War Finish denotes that it was not given a blued finish, this was done in an attempt to help speed-up production. It has its original finish and grips and has matching numbers to frame, barrel and cylinders.
