An Incredibly Rare and original Colt 1911 .455 Eley pistol RAF Contract. Around 10,000 pistols were shipped to the Royal Air Force. The serial numbers were from W91,100 to W110,696. Production ran from Jan. 22, 1918 to April 28, 1919. This example is clearly marked to the RAF and has the correct British broad arrow acceptance markings. It also has the original and correct issued magazine. A very rare and incredibly sought after pistol. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
