Product Information

This is a very rare, one-off, pair of apprentice made Colt model 1848 percussion revolvers. They have consecutive serial numbers and both pistols have all matching numbers. They carry the Colt Patent 12814 &12815. Both can be fully stripped and will cock and dry fired. The chambers do not cam, this is how they were originally manufactured, although they do rotate when the hammers are cocked. Accompanying these rare pistols is a period bespoke hand crafted solid wood, felt lined case containing various tools and maintenance pieces. We believe this pair to be unique being made by an apprentice to demonstrate their gunsmithing skills.

They were made as non firing copies and are incapable of firing a projectile. Neither have ever been live proof tested and under current UK legislation are not classed as firearms and therefore do not require deactivating, and can be owned without any form of license.
