This is a stunning condition First World War dated SMLE MKIII rifle. Dated 1915, it was manufactured by Birmingham Small Arms (BSA) that has its original numbered and correct early bolt fitted. The brass disc reads "8.15 L.9" which believe is an abbreviation for the 9th Lancers who served during the Great War. All visible numbers are matched accept for the nose cap. The wood is in superb condition and rifle still has all four sling hoops still in tact. A great looking rifle that would have seen service during WWI and almost certainly during the Second World War as well.
