Product Information

This is an all matching numbers First World War dated SMLE MKIII* .303 rifle. It was originally manufactured in 1918 by Enfield for the Great War. The year before Britain declared war on Nazi German it went through the BSA workshop where it received the date stamp of 1938. After WWII it required for further reworking and was marked FTR 1953 = Factory Through Repair. The FTR markings are rarely observed on SMLE's this is because it was no longer the standard British rifle. During WWII the No4 had replaced it. The rifle also has a low three digit serial number "V151". The bluing to metal part looks amazing.

A fascinating British military rifle that has seen extensive military service.
