This is a superb condition BSA, Shirley manufactured Lee Enfield No4 MKI rifle with matching bolt. Dated 1942 it is from only the second year of No4 production. The wood is in lovely condition and is greatly enhanced by the black painted metal parts. The No4 was first introduced in mid 1941 but significant numbers only became available in 1942 when all manufactures (BSA, Enfield, ROF Fazakerley & Maltby) were in full production. The No4 was used by all branches of the Allied forces and saw service on all fronts throughout the war.

Deactivated to current specifications with moving bolt and removable magazine. This rifle can still be fully dismantled with the exception of the bolt.
