Product Information

This is a lovely condition WWII US "Lead Lease" Lee Enfield No4 MKI* .303 Rifle. Only produced during WWII for the British Government, it was manufactured by US firm Savage Stevens under the 'lend lease" agreement to help arm Allied & Common Wealth forces during the war. It is correctly marked "US Property" and has the US ordnance "Flaming Bomb" acceptance stamp. All parts are correctly marked with the Savage "S".  This rifle would have been shipped in preparation for the D-Day lands of June 1944. Many of these rifles failed to make it to Europe due to the heavy loses inflicted on merchant shipping by German U-boats. Thankfully this example made it. It has stunning wood work and comes fitted with a British canvas sling, Savage made bayonet & scabbard, Bakelite oil bottle, pull through cord and 6 inert .303 with clip. A superb set!

Deactivated to current specifications with moving bolt and removable magazine. This rifle can still be fully dismantled with the exception of the bolt.

This item is available for purchase and is currently at the proof house being certificated.
