Product Information

This is a WWII US Thompson M1 submachine gun. The M1 was formally approved in late 1942 and went into production in early 1943. This example is from the first years production (1943) and is correctly stamped with the US Army Inspector of Ordnance’s initials FJA - Colonel Frank J. Atwood. It was manufactured at the Savage Arms factory and was marked with the encircled GEG acceptance stamp of Auto-Ordnance’s civilian inspector George E. Goll. M1's were later superseded by the M1A1 as production processes were simplified to reduce cost and manufacture times. The Thompson M1 is one of the most iconic SMG's of WWII and this one is real beauty! Comes fitted with an original and correct 30 round magazine.

Deactivated to current specifications with tensioned cocked lever and trigger.

This item is available for purchase and is currently at the proof house being certificated
