Product Information

Rare Deactivated WWII US Rock-Ola Music Corporation Manufactured M1 Carbine dated December 1942. One of rarer M1 carbine makers of WW2. They only produced around 228,000 or so, (about 3.5% of the total wartime production) the second fewest of all the companies employed by the US Government. Compared this with Inland Division General Motor who produced over 2.6 million during WW2. The serial is from the first batch produced. The barrel is dated and marked Rock-Ola. The beautiful matched "type I"wood work is original, and has a distinctive oiler cut out in the shape of the letter "I". It also has the correct RMC stamp in the sling well. This one is probably the best example available. It really is in superb condition throughout with beautiful work wood and unblemished metal work. The deactivation has also been as sympathetic as possible,  with a moving slide and trigger, working trigger safety,  it can be partially stripped. Comes fitted with original sling, oiler and inert rounds. Available with superb condition original WW2 US M1A1 Carbine Knife Bayonet with M8A1 scabbard with integral webbing frog, single retaining strap with stud fastener.( Not included in the price).
