An early Second World War Nazi PO8 Luger with matching numbers. Dated 1937 with makers code S/42 (Mauser). Mauser produced 116,000 Lugers in 1937 with most allocated to the army. Lugers from this period have the early Nazi eagle 63 proof stamps with dropped wings. This one also has the same period Mauser marked aluminum based magazine. These early war pistol were among some of the first to see action during the early stages of WWII. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
