Product Information

An early Walther (ac coded) P38 pistol. 40 refers to the year of manufacture (1940), with a low serial number of 982a that dates to August/September 1940, and is from a very small batch of only 6,000 produced that year. These are distinguishable by the "40" below the ac stamp. These pistols were already made, then the coding configuration was changed with the "40"  then added before final finishing. The magazine, although not matched is from an earlier pistol several hundred lower and is Walther coded (WaA359). The pistol is covered in a plethora of Walther inspectors stamps (WaA359) with even the grip stamped. Deactivated sympathetically with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
