Product Information

This is a fascinating WWII Nazi PO8 Luger, manufactured by Mauser in 1938, it has matching numbers except for the magazine. The frame bears the correct early Eagle 63 acceptance stamps. This Luger was originally issued prior to the outbreak of the Second World War seeing service with Nazi forces. Post WWII it was re-assigned to the East German police (Volkspolizei or VoPo), and was stamped with the shield / sunburst symbol to signify this. Another unusual feature is the addition of an "-a" after the serial number.  This Luger would have been used to police and govern the Russian sectors of Germany in the post war breakup of the country. A very interesting Luger. The Luger was one of the most popular and prized war trophies by Allied troops,
