An early production Nazi Browning High Power pistol. "WaA103" coded occupation pistols were only manufactured for less than one year in 1941, with an estimated total production of just 30,000. Serial numbers ran from 65200 to 95000. This one being number 68119 , number 2919th of 1941. They were assembled from prewar and newly manufactured parts and assigned Waffenamt acceptance stamp WaA103. The slides with the tangent sights were already made when the factory was captured. The shoulder stock provision quickly was eliminated from the manufacture produces to simplify and speed up the build. The "Hipower" was regarded as an excellent pistol by both German and Allied forces with both sides using them. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked and dry fired.
