Product Information

This is an exceedingly rare example of a Nazi stamped 2nd World War FN/Browning GP35 High Power , produced in Belgium under the control of occupying Nazi forces, with overwhelming evidence to indicate it is in fact a  “Lunchbox Special” – that is to say a factory built gun which was covertly removed from the line and smuggled to resistance forces operating to undermine the German occupation.

Details such as the comparatively crudely manufactured trigger (after the original batch of triggers were thrown into the factory sewers by staff forced into labour) and lack of factory markings other than the serial number all point towards this fascinating history. Pre-production and rejected parts were also known to have been used to assembly of these guns.

The gun is presented in a  post war finish, which is detailed in the covering literature, though the original factory “deluxe” finish is evident on the heel of the pistol grip frame, suggesting the gun had originally been destined for a high ranking military officer. This High Power will be sold with a comprehensive fact sheet complied by a previous owner detailing all of the evidence which led him to conclude its resistance heritage. The Waffen acceptance stamp dates this pistols to circa late 1941 when WaA140 was first introduced. The FN Factory was captured by German forces in the Spring of 1940. The pistol is fitted with original wartime Walnut grips and correct magazine.
