Product Information

An original First World War issued German Hebel M1894 Flare/Signal pistol, Circa 1915. Manufactured by Bohling & Eschrich (B&E) with a low serial number of only 949. Marked on the pistol grip "8.KOMP.L.I.R.1" which we believe this to be an abbreviation for 8th Company Landwehr-Infantrie-Regiment (Landwehrinfanterieregiment) 1st Battalion, who served during WWI. They were used by the German Military throughout both world wars, being used when signalling to German soldier to go "over the top" when leaving their trenches and engaging Allied forces. Still remarkably good original condition. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
