This is a superb copy of the iconic STG-44 (MP44) made by the Germany company GSG - German Sporting Guns. The MP44 assault rifle was ground breaking in terms of development when it was first produced in the latter part of WWII. Its design inspired Mikhail Kalashnikov's now legendary AK47. Now, GSG have made a virtually identical copy chambered in .22 LR. To the untrained eye it is very hard to distinguish it from the original.
