Product Information

A good condition early Second World War production J.P.Sauer (S/147 coded) K98. Dated 1938 with matching numbers to receiver, barrel and rear sight assembly. Correctly marked with Waffenamt code “214” and "359" and with both Weimar and Nazi eagles. This K98 is from only the second batch of that year ("a" suffix serial number) with the earliest recorded serial number being around 1129. That puts this one at around number 15,668th of 1938. Sauer only managed to produced around 195,000 in 1938 with the German army procuring the vast majority. It also has correct period solid wood Walnut stock with the German army capital "H" stamped into it. This K98 would have almost certainly been involved in the early military engagements and Blitzkrieg of European countries. Deactivated in 1994 to old specifications with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
