Deactivated Old Spec WWII Japanese Arisaka Type 38 Rifle chambered in 6.5mm, One specific feature of type 38 was the sliding bolt cover, which protected the receiver openings from harsh pacific climate. It proved to be a hinderance and often would give away the user position to US troops, as it rattled when the bolt was operated. Not surprisingly, many soldiers removed these covers from their rifles. The stock was a two piece construction, as pictured. Fitted with leather sling and original hook quillion bayonet. Deactivated in 1992 to old specifications it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
