Product Information

This, 1945 dated MG34 is from the very last batch ever produced before the factory fell into Allied control in 1945. The Waffenwerke Brunn (dot) plant was also the only remaining manufacturer of the MG34 in 1945 and only made around 16,647 that year. The last known recorded serial number is 9849b. This example is from the same batch and is number 3246b and is matched receiver and barrel housing and has a DOT WaA63 coded bolt. Note the phosphate finish and lack of stamps. This weapon was produced quickly as the ever advancing Allied forces grow closer.

The MG34 - Maschinengewehr-34 (Machine gun, model of 1934) was designed in the early 1930s and saw service with the German army until the end of the second world war. It was an outstanding weapon, well finished and manufactured to tight tolerances, this however become its drawback being too expensive and too slow to manufacture, it therefore was not suited for mass wartime production, and although they continued being made until the end of the war, its cheaper and faster to manufacture cousin the MG42 took over.

Deactivated in 1993 to old specifications it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. The barrel jacket joint can be hinged opened. This type of deactivation is no longer available on this type of machine gun. It comes fitted with a 1943 dated drum magazine.
