Product Information

Deactivated WWII Nazi MP40, 9mm Submachine Gun. Manufactured by BNZ (Steyr Daimler-Puch) 43 (year of manufacture 1943). One of the most iconic weapons of all time. The MP40 was only in production from 1940 to 1945. This example has lots of matched numbers including bolt, with correct Waffenamt code WaA623. Note the shrapnel sticks to the magazine housing and bakelite. A very good indication this weapon saw action. The MP40 was issued widely throughout the German army with infantry divisions and SS units receiving them first in 1940. The vast majority of MP40s were either captured and then destroyed, and post war with some countries opting to keep and adopt for their own military use. Incredibly 70 years on they occasionally turn up in places such as Africa in the hands of local militia groups. Available with an original leather sling (see product code GENV4). Deactivated in 1990 to old specifications it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
