Product Information

Deactivated WWII Nazi MP40, 9mm Submachine Gun. Manufactured by BNZ (Steyr Daimler-Puch) 42 the year of manufacture (1942). One of the most iconic weapons of all time. The MP40 was only in production from 1940 to 1945. This is an early 1942 production example with lots of matched numbers. The serial number 9768a is from only the second batch of 1942. Allocated blocks of serial numbers started 1 to 9999, with the next block 1a to 9999a and so on. Meaning this one is number 19,767th of that year. Interestingly it is fitted with an MP38 bolt. Armorers would often utilize existing serviceable parts and spares to keep weapons in service, with the renumbering possible done at the same time. The overall condition of this MP40 would strongly suggest it has had an active service life. The MP40 was issued widely throughout the German army with infantry divisions and SS units receiving them first in 1940. Deactivated in 1994 to old specifications it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
