One of the rarer variants of the P38 series. 480 coded pistols were only manufactured by Walther during 1940 and for only a few months. Known serial numbers ran from 1-7374 with only around 7,380 produced. Walther were the first company contracted to build the P38, with the first small batches of pistols completed in mid 1939. These pistol being amongst the first to be issued and see active service. This example is prolifically marked with the Waffen code WaA359, including the magazine, the allotted code for Walther. A very rare pistol. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
