An original WWII Nazi Black Widow PO8 Luger. Manufactured by byf in 1941 with all matching numbers and correct black bakelite grips and magazine. With the correct "P08" stamp on the left side of the frame and Waffenamt codes. The 655 proof with straight wings indicate early 1941 production.  The Black Widow is one of the most sought after of the Luger variants, and was only ever produced in limited numbers from 1941-42. Germany devised a series of manufacturer codes, the intention was to deny production information to the military intelligence services of other countries. The 'BYF 41' code indicated  Mauser 1941 as the year of manufacture. A rare pistol. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
