This is a Second World War, Mauser model 1934 that dates to 1940 production. It bears the proof stamps Eagle over N on the barrel behind the rear sight. This proof stamp was only used on pistol produced after April 1940. The serial number is also correct and is from a small batch manufactured that year. All visible numbers are matched and it has its original finish, wooden grip and Mauser banner magazine. They were often privately purchased by officers and senior Nazi officials as their personal sidearm. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked and dry fired.
