This is a WWII era Spanish Mauser M43 (Model of 1943) K98 with its matching bolt.  Utilising the proven Mauser K98 platform, Spain manufactured their own version. It is very similar in design to the WWII German K98 but with the addition of extra sling mounts longer top piece of wood work and double bayonet mounting point. Although Spain did not officially join the Axis powers during WWII it did supply materials and military support to the them. This increased the threat of Allied attack and whilst under the dictatorship of Franco, Spanish forces were armed with these rifles. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
