Product Information

A First World War Austrian Steyr Hahn M1912 automatic pistol, chambered in 9mm. It is dated 1915 with matching numbers and has its original finish. On the trigger are the 1915 Military / Government acceptance stamps, (WN15).The serial number is from the second batch of 1915. The gun was loaded from a stripper clip, as opposed to using a removable magazine. The barrel rotated on recoil to unlock, a design still used by several modern handguns. They were issued to the Austro-Hungarian army who fought along side German forces during WWI. Many being used during WWII as well. Only around 300,000 or so were ever made, many being lost to the horrendous condition during WWI. A classic WWI axis forces officers pistol. Some were also used during WWII by the Nazis. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
