Product Information

A First World War DWM (Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken) Artillery Luger dated 1917. Virtually all matching numbers with the exception of the magazine and rear tail piece on the toggle joint. The frame and barrel are correctly stamped with Imperial German army acceptance and proof stamps. The Artillery model was one of the most sought after and prized Lugers, often a favourite Allied bring back.  At the end of WWI the Allied Commission created the by the Treaty of Versailles banned Germany from having weapons longer then 100mm. This meant all Artillery Lugers had to have shorter barrels fitted. Thankfully this one still has its original one.
