Product Information

This is a very unusual variant of the American model 1878 revolver. It would appear that very few were produced in this format, 9mm centre fire. The vast majority were made as pinfire. This revolver was manufactured in Belgium and later ended up in Austrian ownership. It dates to the early 1900s and would have been issued to either police or military. The Austrian inventory/weapon numbers stamped on the barrel would indicate this. The late two digit are the year 1913, just before the Great War when Austria became the First Austrian Republic. Deactivated with moving parts it comes with an EU/UK certificate of deactivation.
