Product Information

An all matching numbers First World War dated Imperial German Army, Artillery Luger. Manufactured by DWM (Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken), this example still has its original matched magazine and grips. Dated 1918, the serial number has no letter suffix. Meaning this is pistol number 4177th of that years production. In the aftermath of WWI the Allied Commission created the Treaty of Versailles banning Germany from having weapons longer then 100mm. This meant all Artillery Lugers had to have shorter barrels fitted. Thankfully this one still has its original one. Interestingly it has BNP or British Nitro Proof stamps which indicate that it was used here after the war. The Artillery Luger was a prized war trophy and many were smuggled home. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked and dry fired.
