Product Information

This is a very unusual and unique WWI German Gew98 "carbine" conversion. It was originally manufatured in 1918 at the Spandau arsenal as a rifle for use during the Geat War and still bears the Imperial German army acceptance stamps and WWI bolt. The capital letter H stamped above the Spandau crown is beleived to be a 1920s rework mark of the Hanover depot who were secretly reworking Gew98 rifle for the Weimar Republic during the pre Nazi period. The Iranian/Persian rear sight and modified woodwork were most likely added post WWII as part of a Persian contract. A fascinating carbine.
