Product Information

A superb original matching numbers, 100 years old, Imperial German army issued PO8 Luger. This is one of the best we have seen. The bluing is its original factory finish and is still incredible crisp as are all the imperial German army acceptance stamps and factory markings. All numbers match except the magazine, which is an original WWI wooden based example. All the straw blued parts are still present and look superb, set against the blued parts. Both grips are original as well and are both numbered 41, the last two digits of the pistols serial number. The serial number doesn't have a letter suffix. This means it is number 5941th of 1916. The toggle is marked with the DWM (Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken) emblem and receiver with the date of manufacture 1916. Accompanying this Luger is an original 1916 dated hard shell leather holster with spare magazine and take down tool. The holster is stamped with the maker "Schaefer & Reiche Berlin S.O. 1916". A great set . The Luger has been sympathetically deactivated to a very high standard and has a full working action. It can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
