Product Information

This is an original First World War issued Imperial German Army Artillery Luger. The Luger was made in 1917 by DWM and has all matching numbers with exception of the magazine which is the correct type with wooden base. The receiver, barrel and toggle all bear the correct army exceptance stamps. The blued finish to the pistol is untouched and has a lovely even patina throughout. The leather holster is complete with an original take-down tool and barrel cleaning rod - both are normally missing. The shoulder stock has the correct imperial army acceptance stamp but more importantly it still has the original leather carry straps and holster / stock fixings. A rare set.

The artillery Luger was designated by the German army as the Model 1914, and was originally intented for use by gun boat crews before becoming the standard issue sidearm to machine gun and artillery units.
