Product Information

An extremely rare and seldom seen Second World War Bulgarian military marked Walther PP. The Walther serial number and proof stamps date this PP to 1940 production. However, the barrel is marked with Bulgarian military acceptance stamps - letter N with the rampant lion follow by the date stamp of 1940 (40). The numbers to the left being the weapon or unit number. It still retains its original factory finish, grips and correct wartime magazine with finger extension. Very few are known to have been issued, possibly just a few hundred. It's the first one we have encountered. The vast majority were issued to German officers and officials.

During WWII although trying to remain neutral the Bulgarians did eventually side with the Nazis allowing the German army to cross its borders to invade Greece. In 1941 they also declared war against the UK and US which resulted in the bombing of its cities by Allied forces.

A very rare Axis pistol and possibly the only one in the UK. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
