Product Information

This is a very rare Astra model 903 pistol. This model was only produced between 1932 to 1934 with just over 3,000 pistols ever made. It was first model from the 900 series to have a removable box magazine and sective fire switch. The Spanish letter date proof stamp "F" indciated the date of production as 1933. A small quantity were exported to China and are clearly marked with Chinese characters on the frame. Some were used during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), and the German Wehrmacht also took delivery of just over 1,000 during WWII. An unusual feature found on this example is the conversion of a Mauser Schnellfeuer magazine that fits perfectly. The Astra is a close copy of the German Schnellfeuer pistol being chambered in the same calibre; 7.63mm, and a favourite sidearm of the infamous SS.  This example has definietly seen active service and comes with two inert 7.63mm rounds.
