Deactivated WWII Era Mauser C96 Bolo

This is a pre WWII Mauser C96 Bolo pistol. This is example dates to the late 1920s early 1930s. The “Bolo” Mauser is the short barreled version of the original C96 and were originally produced for the new Bolshevik government of Soviet Russia. The name “Bolo” came from the word Bolshevik. They were also exported and used during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and saw active service during WWII with partisan groups and military units from both Allies and Axis forces.
