Product Information

This is a very rare first year of production, Second World War, German G33/40 carbine. The G33/40 was only in production for three years during the war, from 1940 to 1942, and the "945" coded carbines only being made in 1940 with an estimated total of just 40,000 produced that year. The serial number of this example has an "a" letter suffix meaning it is around rifle number 11,208th. They were first adopted in 1940 by the German Army and were specifically designed for and issued to German Mountain infantry troops (Gebirgsjager or Gebirgstruppen), as a shorter and lighter variant of the standard K98. This particular carbine has its original matching barrel, the correct bolt, rear sight and floor plate assemblies and nose cap but, has been fitted with modified with K98 woodwork. The action bears all the original and correct WWII German military acceptance stamps (WaA63) and has no capture or other countries ownership markings.

Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. It comes with an EU/UK deactivation certificate.
