Product Information

Deactivated WWII German K98. Makers code bnz (Steyr) 43 (1943). Lots of crisp clear Nazi markings and matching bolt. This particular K98s wood work has been converted from a WW1 Gew98s, it still bears the original Imperial German carcouches as well as the Nazi ones. Also note the addition of a sling hoop as the Gew98s had a different arrangement. The bolt is matched to the weapon and an unusual smaller turned down bolt, similar to a WW1 Kar98. It also bears post WWII German proof house inspection stamps, i.e. Crown over N. This carbine was then reissued post WWII and stamped MdI (Ministerium des Innern) so this rifle could have been used by a number of MdI "bewaffneten" organizations including police, customs and the Kampfgruppen der Arbeiterklasse and even an early form of the Army called the Kasernierte Volkspolizei (KVP) which existed from 1952-57, who are known have used a number of reworked WWII Wehrmacht weapons. A very interesting K98!

Deactivated with a working action and can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
