This is a mid WWII German K98 that was manufactured in 1942 by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (bnz) who surprisingly are estimated to have only made around 117,836 K98 carbines that year. It has very few numbered parts with a few that are matching - the bolt, barrel and lower woodwork, and at some stage it has had a scope rail added to the left side of the receiver. Deactivated with a working action.
