Product Information

An early WWII Erma manufactured German K98. 1940 saw the "27" coding change to "ax", however this did not happen until around serial suffix of "F" block. Before this change took place around 70,000 were produced under the "27" code, this one being from only the third batch and is an early example with a three digit serial number. Many original matched parts remain with the correct Waffen 280 code, they include the wood work, magazine assembly and barrel bands. Erma ceased production of the K98 the following year concentrating on the production of the MP38 and MP40 submachine guns. This example has unusual numbering on the under side of the stock - "805 0". Eventually this K98 fell into Norwegian hands and was marked "FLY" and used by their Airforces. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
