This pre WWII K98 is one of only 190,000 produced JP Sauer und Sohn in 1938 using secret code 147. These carbines were part of Nazi Germany's secret armament build up just before the out-break of WWII,  and were amongst some of the first carbines to see action. Correctly stamped with one WaA359 and two WaA37 Waffenamts, and with lots of matching numbers and its original bolt. In the wood work bolt scollop are the marking "DE 01401", possible the soldiers initials and number? Comes fitted with an original cleaning rod. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
