This is an early Second World War Mauser manufactured Nazi K98. It is one of around 415,000 k98's that were made at the Mauser Werke AG is 1940. The majority of this years production was allocated to the German army and marked with the letter H (Heer) on the stock. This example has many original matching numbers including the woodwork and is correctly stamped with Waffen acceptance Eagle over 655. During the war it was stationed in Norway where it eventually fell into Norweigan ownership when Nazi Germany surrendered in 1945.
