Product Information

This is an early 1942 manufactured Nazi K98. It was made by JP Sauer who only used the swept forward "ce" & "42" script on early 1942 production K98's after which, they proceeded to use a vertical script code. Total production for 1942 was only around 183,000 rifles with this figure including both variants. The serial number of this example is 1380 with no letter suffix, indicating that it is one of the earliest recorded serial numbers from that year. At some stage it was captured, note how the Nazi acceptance stamp numbers 37 below each Eagle have been struck out with a punch. The rifle still has its original Sauer coded barrel and is covered in Nazi markings.
