A WWII German K98 dated 1944, it was manufactured by Mauser under secret code byf. It bears the correct Waffenamt acceptance stamp Eagle over 135. Late 1944 saw the introduction of "Kriegsmodell". However, this example is still in standard configuration and would have been assembled earlier that year and retains its original matching wood work, barrel bands, rear sight and but plate etc. Note, the serial number has no letter suffix. Accompanying this K98 is a bayonet and scabbard, leather sling, cleaning rod, five inert WWII dated 7.92mm rounds with clip and tool kit. A fantastic set. The K98 is deactivated with a working action and can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
