Product Information

A 1937 dated Nazi K98. This is unlike most mainstream manufactured K98s of this period. The barrel is marked with the Geco logo (capital G with "eco" inside) which indicates it was produced by Gustav Genschow, Berlin. It is correctly marked with Nazi Waffenamt “WaA63” proofs which can be found in conjunction with the earlier shaped Weimar eagles. Another unusual feature is the crown over R on the barrel, this was added when the rifle was subject to repair, and is a good indication of service use. Reworked 1937 dated K98s are known to have acquired and issued to the SS, and have been observed with similar markings and barrel codes. These barrel codes are just below the wood line on this K98.

Still retaining many original features with matching numbers to receiver, barrel and rear sight assembly. The bolt is Mauser ( eagle over 63), with no Russian capture stamps.

Deactivated in 1990 to old specifications with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
